Joys of Boys

I've decided I'm changing my boys names.....
we have been weathered in for a month, it seems like.....
they are getting bored....
One is trying so hard to fart in the tub just for a bubble....
does he not know we have soap for that.
He is turning soooooo red....
if he's not careful, something else just may ....well you know.
they really are precious....most of the time!

It's pink

I thought this piece was calling out "pink" to me. Ofcourse this means I can't keep it, since I have boys. Do you think they would notice??? Looking at it now I think it could have been any color. I love it just the way it is. It is waiting patiently for a new home. It has been sanded, primed, 3 coats of kilz and sealed for durability and a long life. $165

This is a dresser I've had for years and paid $ 35. It got a facelift of gray paint leftover from my hubby's offfice. New old hardware. i love it. One of these days I'll remember to flip the pics before they get on this here blog.

Oh I so want to be a great blogger, but just can't seem to find it in me. Anyhow, here are a few things I've been working on over this summer and fall.

here it is.....

Here is the cabinet that took a year to decide what to do with. It did'nt take to long to finish it. I wish you see the destressing...almost makes me think I need to add more. I don't have it full of junk yet. I not quite sure what to put in it. I ususally just shop around the house, but think I'm running out of stuff if that's even possible..ha ha!

cabinet redo

a cabinet i found last summer at 3rd Sunday Market. It's a piece! I did'nt think it looked to bad until I got it home and hubby found a couple things wrong with it. I almost threw it out. I got it for the pantry, but it did'nt fit as nicely as I hoped it would. It just made it look so junky...I know I should like that. I decided to put it in the dining room and it looks great! it took me a year to decide this...pathetic! It came out of a school...science lab. The cute thing about it is I found a love not shoved in behind the crown molding along with some old pencils. The pencils i found were from the 50's or 60's I would say. The love note was a " check...yes or no...so cute! I did scrape the green paint off as soon as I got it home. You will have to wait for the redo...it is done just don't have the pic on pc.

why...why...why

why oh why???
does my Little Mr
take a bite out of every
deliciously scrumptious
donut in the
entire box
and put them
back???
Would'nt you
love to be craving
a perfectly
moist
chocolate
yummy-ness
and to open the box
and find a
missing
bite out of every
single
round of goodness???
